Hello! My name is Mahi, and I’m 12 years old. I have a passion for making a difference in my community and advocating for those who may not have a voice. That’s why I’ve started a project to raise awareness for victims of sexual assault.
While looking for something, I wanted to focus on something that matters in real life. While looking for ideas, I came across the fact that sexual abuse centers are still needed today. At first, the topic felt uncomfortable and difficult to talk about. But pretending it isn’t happening doesn’t make it go away.
The truth is, people—especially children—are being hurt in ways that change their lives. That made me realize how important it is to address this issue instead of ignoring it. If we want things to change, we have to talk about it and support the people who are affected.
Whether it’s through sharing information, creating art, speaking at school, or posting online, I want to inspire others to stand up, show compassion, and join me in making the world a safer and more inclusive place.
